Thoughts on Patrolling

Angela and I just did a patrol tonight and we brought a couple trash bags. It's amazing how much trash gets thrown around our neighborhood. We walked from Chestnut to Walnut between Long Lane and Copley and we picked up three full trash bags full of trash and there still was more. I would like us to have another meeting and I was thinking of having it in the Hmart Food Court. They've got a lot of seating up there and we could all get dinner. We should plan a block clean up maybe for mid-April when it's spring and warm. In the meantime if you are going to patrol think about picking up some trash as you go along. I think people might be less likely to litter if they see we keep it clean in our neighborhood. Let me know if you would like a Block Watch Sign for your house. I still have a few and can get more any time.
